The Teaching
A practice can loosen a burden. It can also tempt you to carry the whole verdict alone.
Before you decide what an experience means, ask what still has permission to correct you: a trusted person, a source you did not invent, ordinary conduct, a duty you owe, or time.
If the method tells you to let go, let go of clinging to the tool. Do not let go of being answerable.

Shared Return Trial
For stable solo practitioners, the Shared Return Check should reduce private self-verdict and increase one observable act of care or contact more than a prompt asking what the experience means. If it increases rumination or produces no contact or care, the practice weakens.

Practice Safety Screen
The practice should remain low risk only when it stays brief, does not require confession, does not ask for metaphysical verdicts, and routes clinical or severe distress to human care. If users report shame, derealization, compulsive checking, or unsafe disclosure, retire or narrow it.
